New Zealand 2026 – Day 6
Our last day in the field, and a mixed bag of results.
We started from Queenstown, and first to sunrise at Moke Lake (again, sans sun), and then found another old jetty enroute to Glenorchy, before finishing the day at the Glenorchy Wharf.
Day 6 – Moke Lake
With the sun avoiding us, it was a case working with what we had. A long exposure reflection shot worked nicely along with a couple of other takes with the reeds and hills/mountains in the background.

Day 6 – Lake Wakatipu – Old Jetty
This was a random find on the Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd. We seem to be attracted to old jetties… Tried a few treatments, but I think my favourite is the long exposure B&W shot.

Day 6 – Glenorchy Wharf
This is a lovely spot, but I have to say that the water-bound willows were a disappointment. These two shots were the best I could manage. I suspect a sunrise shoot on a calm day with some mist on the water would result in much more interesting images.
