Penrith Weir

Having never tried photographing birds before, I went with a group of people from the Blue Mountains Photography Group to Penrith Weir in June. Not the best spot for nice compositions – too much flood debris still in place, but most of the river walk is lovely and well worth doing.

I didn’t expect to come away with much, but it was fun to try out various techniques to capture the mainly-moving subjects! Nearly 400 exposures later, I ended up keeping what is below!
Definitely a learning experience!
